Getting to Chard, Somerset from London

By Road:

Take the M4 out of London and travel for approximately 100 miles. Exit this motorway at Junction 20 (Bristol),taking the southbound M5. Travel along the M5 for approximately 45 miles and exit at Junction 25. At this exit, follow the A358 to Chard. Chard is approximately 12 miles from this junction.

Or

Take the M3 out of London and travel for approximately 35 miles. Exit the M3 at Junction 8, for the A303 and travel for approximately 90 miles. At the Southlands roundabout (junction with the A358), follow the signs for Chard (See Getting to ACI).

By Rail:

Paddington to Taunton (For information use www.firstgreatwestern.co.uk) Approximate journey time 2 hours. Taunton to Chard by car / taxi is a further 30 minutes.

Or

Waterloo to Axminster (For information use www.southwesttrains.co.uk). Approximate journey 2hrs, 15 mins. Axminster to Chard by car / taxi is a further 20 minutes.

By Air:

Nearest airports are Bristol (c. 60 miles) and Exeter (c. 25 miles)

By sea:

Nearest ports are Poole (c. 50 miles) and Weymouth (c. 35 miles).

Getting to ACI from A358 Southbound

• Keep on the A358 sign-posted for Chard / Axminster for approximately 5 miles.
• When entering Chard, go straight across main traffic lights (Church will be on the left)
• Take the right hand exit at the mini roundabout. ACI’s Silver Street Site is approximately 100 metres on the right hand side and is clearly identified by the large mill building that overlooks the main manufacturing facility.
