INFORMATION
- The Cable Dryer is engineered to effectively remove residual moisture from water-cooled insulated wire, cable and extruded products.
- It is particularly effective in small diameter production where the system enables reliable production rates of up to 3,950 feet per minute.
- It works by closely focusing powerful angled air jets against the flow of the product. These air jets are aimed at the product to hold back the advancing residual moisture. By breaking the surface tension of the water, it allows it to gather and be removed from the product. Soft-edged flexible rubber baffles help contain the resulting spray, preventing it from exiting the enclosure and thus avoiding spillage and potential health and safety issues.
- The removed water drains from the enclosure and can be piped back into the system to save consumption, costs and improve processes.
- The unit is fully enclosed, adjustable and has a footprint of only 3’ 1” long, which enables it to fit easily into most production lines. The system is available with a choice of three different drying modules to suit most applications.
